Evolve your team to be more inclusive, connected, and effective.

He aha te mea nui? Māku e kii atu, he tāngata, he tāngata, he tāngata.

What is the most important thing in the world? Well, let me tell you, it is people, it is people, it is people

I am Stu Savage, owner of The Culture Room and Culture Consultant.

I work alongside organisations in New Zealand and overseas who want to create and develop an inclusive, connected, and effective organisational culture.

I have spent the last 25 years in the United Kingdom Australia and New Zealand working in sport management and education, which has provided me with the opportunity to be part of a myriad of organisations, teams, and workplaces. Whether it has been a management role, administration, teaching or coaching, it has afforded me insights, allowing me to develop in-depth knowledge and experience of organisational and team cultures. These experiences are woven into my work alongside contemporary research, models, concepts, engaging case studies and lots of narrative!!

I am a self-confessed geek around organisational culture, spending most of my time reading literature on the subject or listening to various related podcasts.  I spend my spare time being a dad in beautiful New Zealand, watching Manchester United, supporting Wigan Rugby League Club, and running around Wellington ‘trying’ to stay fit while navigating the 360-degree winds!

Hello!

Delivering quality educational opportunities

The Culture Room focuses on delivering quality educational opportunities i.e. workshops for organisations, workplaces, and teams in any industry. By guiding and supporting the client, I aim to create or develop their own unique culture through facilitation. What is ‘the way you do things around here?’ in your organisation (or want to do them?). Culture is about people and interaction within their teams and groups. It is about the way people think and behave in their teams. It hones in on leadership, beliefs, values, attitudes, assumptions, rituals, traditions, and behaviours.  So, it relates to anybody that interacts in a group or anywhere with people!

My Approach

Is to firstly engage with the client, to listen and to understand their own bespoke needs, and then to deliver a tailored workshop that meets those requirements. What does your current culture look, sound and feel like? What does an effective culture look, sound and feel like? Using a diverse range of exercises, we can unpack this together and then evolve or develop your own unique and effective culture for the future.
